My Weekend In Pictures: 5/6

Yelle show was awesome, the 2+ mile walk back to River North from The Bottom Lounge (concert venue) in the West Loop with an old friend was equally awesome, the dinner and free drinks at Vivo (seriously amazing food) thanks to a Miss Amber was awesome... My friday was just phenom!

Saturday at Sunda I had one of the best bites of food of my life thus far at a friend's birthday dinner- let me describe: escolar (white tuna) around rice, ok typical sushi bite thus far BUT THEN...top with a homemade potato chip...and top that with a piece of black truffle. I'm starting to salivate just thinking about it...

This is what my week has looked like so far and will continue to until Friday I fear:

Hope everyone is taking the time to enjoy this crazy weather and cheer for the Bulls!

GT Fish and Oyster for dinner tonight with Natasha the Crusher- will snap some pics to share tomorrow- can't wait! I'm going to try some new items this time...
maybe. I can't help it- I'm a girl who loves her some lobster!

Je Veux Te Voir

Excited to see Yelle tonight at The Bottom Lounge! I'm looking forward to an exciting show full of dancing...assuming my legs are still moving come 9pm. Boot camp last night has pretty much put my legs out of commission today... I'm not lying when I say I am falling into my chair anytime I have to stand up and sit back down. *Sigh* I just keep reminding myself- no pain, no gain!

Enjoy some Yelle yourself today:

Print + Color

Cinco de Mayo is such a festive holiday- it makes me want to wear and see bright colors everywhere!

I hope you have a wonderfully festive Cinco de Mayo full of pops of color and popped Corona and Patron bottles. I'm personally a Pacifico gal- but whatever floats your boat!

Cheers!

Lets Get this Started

With Cinco de Mayo tomorrow I kind of feel like today is Thursday, and I'm soooo ready to get my "weekend" started! With Cinco de Mayo tomorrow, the Yelle show Friday, and a birthday celebration Saturday, I am in high spirits and that can mean many things, but today it happens to mean I'm in the mood for bright colors and disco undertones. Luckily I came across this fun editorial photographed by Jeff Tse appropriately entitled "Disco":

Loving these lyrics- feel like it totally fits my life right now- embracing change in a positive way:

Let's make this happen, girl you gonna show the world that something good can work and it can work for you.
And you know that it will.
Let's get this started girl, we're moving up we're moving up It's been a lot to change but you will always get what you want.
Took a little time to make it a little better,
it's only going out, just one thing and another,
you know!

Happy Hump Day (or quasi-Thursday if you're on my "weekend" plan)!

The Girl Can't Help It

Marie Claire Australia totally just tapped into what I've been envisioning for my attire as of late- ladylike sass. Big hair, big makeup, delicate lace, tasteful sheer, all the while mixed in with bold prints and a fun yet ladylike demeanor attached!!?!! It's just marvelous!

I have been on the move all day at work today- hope you are having an equally exciting day!

Make Some Noise

The Beastie Boys are BACK, and I for one am loving it! Definitely takes me back to car rides with my friends older siblings when I was in middle school. Check out their start-studded video for the first track off their latest album released today:
