Talk that Talk

Talking is great, ideas are great, and I'm declaring 2012 the year of walking the walk!  Too often people let year after year slip by without taking on what they are truly passionate about, and with the 1-year anniversary of Headphones and Hemlines coming up, I've got big plans- and I'm ready to put them into action!  So as 2011 is coming to a close, I challenge you to ask yourself during this last week- what have you been daydreaming about? What lights up your eyes when you talk about it? What stimulates your mind?  If you can answer these questions and you are walking that walk everyday- KUDOS! If you can answer these questions and are not- get after it in 2012!  If you can't answer- time to reflect and find your calling!

If you're like me and think you're getting dangerously close to finding yours (in a good way), lets take on 2012 with more drive and passion than ever before and make our dreams come true together!

Some pretty pics and music to help me get through this morning...  Company holiday party was last night and I am mildly horrified by how much I ate at Carnivale.  Gucamoles, ceviches, beef, platains, beef, truffle, beef, massive Peruvian corn... I think you get the picture.  It was delicious, but definitely time to hop on the elliptical tonight!

I'm obsessed with Foster the People's "Helena Beat"- makes me want to have a dance party.  Sadly, even a great upbeat tune like this one cannot even save me from the exhaustion I feel after the trip to NYC mixed with holiday parties and being on the brink of being sick.  Looking forward to some R&R after work- I anticipate sleeping prettttty hard tonight.

Pop Culture Dance Video

So I know I posted Madeon's "Pop Culture" mix awhile back, but I just was introduced to this dancing video to the song and it just made me so happy I had to share:



Today has been an absolute delight working from the NYC office! Time has flown and I've been able to look out my window at the Empire State building all day.  I am definitely looking forward to getting dolled up tonight, heading to Zac Posen's holiday party (beyond excited), and taking on this city in good company.

Bright Lights

"Bright lights, big city going to my head" - I can barely concentrate today as I am leaving for a last minute trip to NYC tonight!  A good friend of mine was kind enough to invite me to join him to a fashion designer's holiday party tomorrow night in the Big Apple, and I cannot wait!  The outfit debate has me a bit perturbed, but rest assured that I have a number of outfits in my carry-on and will make it work!
