Off with the tights, and out with the summer glam! Summer has officially hit Chicago and it's time for nights on rooftops and patios accompanied by friends, dancing, and that dash of fabulous that always seems to amp up for me as the heat turns up outside as well!
Not only am I in love with the name of the blog where I got this image- the image itself and the fact that it is inspiring Jared Van Camp's new restaurant endeavor in the old Marché location in the West Loop.... just no words.
The new place will be called Nellcôte and I'm excited to see what kind of food loving will be thrown down when it opens later this year.
Love. It.

I think it might be time for me to take a vacation and leave the real world behind for a bit, but then again summertime in Chicago can sometimes feel that way don't you think?
My mind has been overrun with thoughts of Blackhawks hockey and Game 7 tonight. Until this game is over and I can return to my normal fashion and music crazed self- enjoy some inspiration courtesy of a heads up from my friend LQ:
To say that I was excited about both the Bulls and Blackhawks victories last night would be an understatement. Lets just say that my night ended in eating an entire package of frozen sausage links- yes, I did heat them up first. My binge eating aside, I am still riding the high from last nights games so I thought I'd share the pep in my step via music!

Just found out that Designer Drugs will be at Lincoln Hall tomorrow night- debating trying to cop a ticket...
I have recently been helping some friends, as well as myself, figure out what the next step in life should be. I have found that reading inspirational words and finding what really speaks to you can be very beneficial. Having a personal mantra is a great way to keep yourself focused and moving forward. Everyone slips up and can lose sight of what's important now and then, but having a type of trigger that reminds you of your goals, where you are, and where you want to be, is a simple way to re-energize yourself. I found this image on Makeunder My Life and absolutely fell in love!
Jess of Makeunder My Life also has an accessory line Jess LC. Being a Chicago girl, I adore that the collections are named after streets from all over the Windy City. My favorite collections are Rush, Division, and Wellington:
